All Star Game Raised Funds and Awareness for BaSix Knowledge Academy

Decatur, GA – (April 13, 2009) – The Hot Sauce All Stars Celebrity benefit game was filled with dunks, over the top handles and loads of excitement. Although the Hot Sauce All Stars defeated the 107.9 Hot Shots with a final score of 99 to 90, the real winners were the students of BaSix Knowledge Academy.

Very grateful to the sponsors and participants in the game, BaSix headmaster David Price says, “The generous donation will go towards our upcoming moving expenses to our new location! We look forward to serving the community in a greater way in coming days. Our best is yet to come!!”

About BaSix Knowledge Academy
Known as two schools in one, BaSix offers a K-12 Academy that caters to the high achiever as well as the student who has academic deficiencies. The challenging yet diverse curriculum follows the Georgia Performance Standards while allowing students to develop critical reading and writing skills.

The Independent Study Program is part two of the school and designed for students 16 and older who didn’t pass the graduation test or after some years of dropping out realizing they want to finally work towards a high school diploma. These students work from home to earn credits.

The school is not populated with the traditional private school students who have financially wealthy parents. These students are privileged to attend BaSix by way of scholarships funded through donations.
